Achievements:   Thanks to the confidence Ellen Manke placed in us, Dixie became the first of our many goldens with sound body and sweet spirit.  She earned her championship at age two completely owner-handled.  Ellen and I then bred her to Am./Can. Ch. Kachina Twenty Karat OS SDHF.  The litter resulted in several pointed children, a Can. Ch. and one UD.  Mike and I bred her a couple of years later to our Riley which produced our Ch. "Albert."  She reluctantly earned her CD on the heels of the second litter.  Despite her flowing coat, Mike also hunted some with her because she was such an avid retriever.  
 
Following Corbet's passing, Dixie lead our band with such a gentle paw that we never knew she was the alpha until she passed and no one seemed to fill the vacuum until Whitney came and took over at seven months of age.  We are grateful to Ellen for entrusting us with both Dixie and Riley.
